AND UNEMPLOYED MOTHERS OF CHILDREN IN SELECTED&#xD;
AREA AT BANGALORE”.&#xD;
BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY:&#xD;
The rapid proliferation of the digital era, Excessive screen time&#xD;
in children has been linked to various behavioral issues, including&#xD;
attention deficit, aggression and social withdrawal.&#xD;
Research highlights that the behavioral consequences of screen&#xD;
exposure can vary based on multiple factors including parental&#xD;
employed status,which influences supervision, interaction and&#xD;
boundary - setting.&#xD;
This study aims to compare to behavioral problems associated&#xD;
with screen time among children of employed and unemployed&#xD;
mothers in selected areas in Bangalore.&#xD;
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY:&#xD;
&#xD;
1. To assess the duration and pattern of screen time exposure&#xD;
among children of employed mothers.&#xD;
2. To assess the duration and pattern of screen time exposure&#xD;
among children of unemployed mothers.&#xD;
3. To identify behavioural problems associated with screen time&#xD;
among children of employed mothers.&#xD;
4. To identify behavioural problems associated with screen time&#xD;
among children of unemployed mothers.&#xD;
5. To compare the behavioural problems related to screen time&#xD;
between the two groups (employed vs unemployed mothers).&#xD;
6. To find the association between selected demographic&#xD;
variables (age of child, gender, mother’s education, family&#xD;
income, etc.) and behavioural problems in both groups.</description>

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY:&#xD;
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a prevalent neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by a persistent pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity. It affects individuals across the lifespan, often beginning in childhood and continuing into adulthood.&#xD;
ADHD affects Approximately 5 to 7 percentage the worldwide with varying rates based on and diagnostic practice. The prevalence among adult is estimated to be around 2 to 5 percentage the disorder impact multiple areas of functioning including academic achievements occupational performance and social relationship.&#xD;
Attention deficit hyperactivity syndrome ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterised by persistent inattention hyperactivity and impulsivity the diagnosis Of ADHD is based on criteria outlined in the diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorder 5th edition (DSM-5). to be diagnosed with ADHD&#xD;
This study seeks to investigate the academic difficulties faced by students with ADHD and assess the effectiveness of interventions aimed at supporting their learning by identifying specific challenges and effective strategies, the research will contribute to development of inclusive educational practise that enhance the academic success and social well being of students with ADHD.</description>

Abstract: PROBLEM STATEMENT:&#xD;
“A study to assess the effectiveness of plan teaching programme on road traffic accidents&#xD;
(RTA) among early adolescents of R C international school, Bengaluru”.&#xD;
Background&#xD;
Road traffic accident are the routine occurrences throughout the world.Thousands of people&#xD;
lose their lives on the roads every day.Many more left with disabilities or emotional scars that&#xD;
they will carry for the rest of their lives.Every hour of every day,forty adolescents die as a&#xD;
result of road traffic crashes.This means that every day another one thousand families have to&#xD;
cope with the unexpected loss of a loved one.Losing a child is never easy.Knowing that a&#xD;
child was lost to a preventable incident may add to the pain and suffering,and can leave&#xD;
families and communities with emotional wounds that take decades to heal.The future of a&#xD;
country is its young people.Road traffic accidents are the leading causes of death globally&#xD;
among 15-19 years while for those in 12-14 they are the second leading cause of death.&#xD;
OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY:&#xD;
1. To assess the level of knowledge of students on road traffic accident.&#xD;
2. To develop and conduct the planned teaching programme on road traffic accident on&#xD;
early adolescents.&#xD;
3. To assess the effectiveness of planned teaching programme on road traffic accident.&#xD;
4. To determine the association between pretest and post test knowledge score of early&#xD;
adolescents and selected demographic variables.&#xD;
METHODOLOGY:&#xD;
Descriptive approach was used to collect data from 40 subjects selected by purposive&#xD;
sampling technique through non probability sampling approach consisting 2 sections.&#xD;
Section A: demographic variable consisting of 10 items.&#xD;
Section B: Structured questionnaire for assessing knowledge level consisting of 16 items.                     &#xD;
RESULT:&#xD;
The majority of respondents 87.5% had inadequate knowledge on road traffic accidents.</description>
