dc.description.abstractIndia is a land of rich forests ivory, silk, sandals, precious stones are the magical charm of centuries. The most fascinating perfume in the world has been exotic with sandals. The richest sandalwood resources in the world come from an independent forest land in southern India, namely Karnataka. Sandalwood and source of crude oil used in Mysore sandal soaps in Karnataka. ". On October 1, 1980, the government soap factory was renamed "Karnataka Soaps and Detergent Limited" and the company was registered as a public limited company. Today the company produces a variety of toilet soaps, detergents, agar and cosmetics. KS&DL is a monopoly company . It is also one of the major exporters of wood, most of which are exported to Europe. During the First World War, sandalwood was left behind because the war could not be exported. In order to use these reserves, Mysore King established a government soap factory in Bangalore. The factory was established in 1916 and began using sandalwood oil as a major ingredient in the manufacture of the brand name Mysore Sandal Soap. In the same year, a factory for distilling sandalwood oil from wood was established in Mysoreen_US
