Abstract: Background & Objectives: Gmelina arborea commonly known as ‘Gambhari’ tree or ‘Shriparni’ tree in Sanskrit is cultivated throughout India mainly for its edible leaves and bark. The objective of the present work is to study the effect of hydroalcoholic extract of leaves of Gmelina arborea on gastric ulcers.
