Abstract: Stroke is a major cause for the neurological admission in hospital all over the world. Stroke occurs when a part of the brain is deprived of oxygen and patients will have deficits corresponding to that area of brain. The study was conducted in Neuro Medical ward, Neuro Medical ICU, Neuro surgical ward and Neuro surgical ICU of PEOPLE TREE HOSPITAL, Bengaluru-22, Karnataka. A convenient sampling technique was used for selecting the sample. The sample size was 50 Neuro Nurses. The investigator used a standardized questionnaire regarding risk factors and warning signs of stroke. The major findings of the study were Neuro Nurses more knowledge of stroke risk factors than warning signs.
