Abstract: AIM To design a Mixed-Use building in a highly populated urban space using a large span Cantilever that can create spaces keeping in mind the technical aspects, which will in turn improve the physical and visual interaction, help reduce isolation. OBJECTIVES The objective of this thesis is to look into that all retail or commercial spaces are designed appropriately, to best facilitate the community living in the Mixed-Use building. By careful and strategic planning of offices, entertainment-zones, residential, and commercial buildings along with parking spaces, to create an all-purpose Mixed-use building with the help of different materials to enhance the aesthetics of the site to give a modern and futuristic look. SCOPE The scope of this structure is to open a window to use new design techniques - innovative technologies, materials, and design system, enabling the increase in application of cantilever structures. Unlike single-purpose projects, there are more usable and pleasant public spaces, more amenities within walking distance, mix-use buildings allow higher densities of different functions to exist in a small site. This design is intended in a way to make life easier for the inhabitants. LIMITATION - It might be difficult and time consuming as we have to evaluate each use of spaces separately. - Zoning and receiving building grants can get exponentially harder. - The uses within a mixed-use development must work together as a whole and not separately, and also be marketable in their own right. - To avoid replicating sprawl, it needs detailed planning in all aspects of the design to coherently integrate all societies.
