AIM ⮚ The aim of the thesis project is to design the affordable and efficient houses which is affordable for the occupants. ⮚ These guidelines will be extracted from literature and live case studies leading to the formulation of the brief. OBJECTIVES ⮚ Definition of affordability in the housing sector in India. ⮚ To understand significance of Sacred geometry. ⮚ Affordable parameters in urban housing. ⮚ To design the project which does not compromise with the quality of life. ⮚ To design sustainable houses which are maintenance friendly. ⮚ Understanding the issues of direct and indirect policy on affordable housing. SCOPE AND LIMITATION • Affordable housing model for public private participation as per model 4 only • Reforms can be introduced in taxation process • Best possible construction materials and techniques to adopt to minimize the costing • Housing delivery as per the government model • Area regulation as per the government affordable housing scheme
