Abstract: It is often said that the key to our odd love of other animals begins with the basic human longing to nurture. They need us. but it’s just as important to recognize the changing balance of this relationship: more than ever before, we need them. The relationship that some people have with their pets may seem odd and confusing to others. but what has to be understood is that they are formed for different reasons, and out of the different needs of each person. there are many forms a pet can replace human interaction in a relationship. each individual has their own reason for owning a pet. understanding these reasons allow us to understand better the different forms of relationships. But this is not always the case. Some animals must travel a long journey to find the right family to go home with. Some must wait months, even years, for the right person to find them. This experience is, in most cases are fairly unpleasant for the animal. we have all seen poor environments that some animals have to endure. small cages, stacked on top of each other, offering little to no comfort for the animal. animal striving for attention, or social interaction. unsanitary and inhumane conditions. The veterinary industry is one that has rapidly grown in the last few years, and the growth of the veterinary clinic has allowed suit. providing our pet with wellness care is the best means to insure health and well being of your companion. a good wellness care program is designed by these clinics/hospitals to prevent and or allow for the early detection of disease.it must be tailored to our pet’s individual needs and lifestyle. Dealing with a population of unwanted domestic animals is a major concern to animal welfare and animal rights group. domestic animal overpopulation can also be an ecological concern and also a financial problem. there are several nonprofit organization that are attempting to solve the problems associated with overpopulation of animals, like euthanasia and high costs, through spay and neuter services. Unwanted dogs and cats may have been acquired from any source. large numbers of animals are placed in shelters by pet owners each year for reasons such as moving, allergies, behavioral problems and lack of time or money or they end up in shelters simply because owners have been ignorant, cruel, lazy irresponsible and neglectful. Animal shelters play a necessary part in state and animal control policies. they provide animals with the opportunity for a second chance at a home. sheltering lowers the instance of animal attacks that would otherwise happen if all strays roamed free, while providing the animals with food and shelter. these animal or pet shelters can be transformed into community pet centers where it is pet friendly, eco-friendly and hospitable for people. this shall welcome the community to adopt, train or exercise their own pet ad in return they can provide companionship to abandoned, sheltered pets. events can be held, pet shows, a community dog park, pet agility courses, low cost training for behavioral issues, workshops, spay and neuter services which shall provide contributions and donations.
