In the intricate landscape of architectural theory, a profound inquiry arises: What defines the essence of human experience within the built environment? How do buildings do more than just serve a purpose but tell stories about our lives? In this dissertation, we aim to understand how our thoughts and feelings interact with the physical design of buildings. As we explore, we'll uncover how the shape and function of spaces connect with our perceptions, revealing the ways architecture becomes a canvas for the stories of human life. Phenomenology, initially a philosophical discourse attributed to luminaries like Lambert, and Hegel, refined by Husserl and expanded upon by thinkers such as Heidegger, Merleau-Ponty have found extensive application in architectural theory and practice. Architects and theoreticians use its unique perspective to understand and design the built environment. The approach allows a deeper analysis of architecture, cities, and human-made spaces, bridging emotions with architectural creations.en_US
