It is important to understand how the physical characteristics of a square impact its functionality and sociability and make informed decisions about how to optimize these spaces for public use. The case study of Karkala City highlights the importance of integrating contemporary ideas into the design of public spaces while also respecting and enhancing historic architectural features. By analyzing how the design of the city's squares evolved over time, we can learn valuable lessons about how to create public spaces that are both functional and culturally significant. Overall, it is essential that urban designers and planners prioritize the creation of public spaces that are accessible, inclusive, and adaptable to changing social and cultural dynamics. This requires a deep understanding of the needs and desires of the community, as well as a commitment to ongoing evaluation and adaptation of public space design.en_US
